This is a day when most Indians perform pooja (worship) their Guru. This is also known as Vyasar Pooja. It is a kind of thanks giving to our Gurus who have enlightened us in our life.
This year the Guru Poornima provided me a different experience. I was humbled by many thanks note and wishes that I received from many of the professionals who would have attended my classes in past and current. Some of them keep in touch with me for guidance. The messages and wishes gave a mixed feelings. I have been thinking of writing this.
My first reaction was a mix of happiness, joy and pride. While I have been in the business of training and guiding professionals for long, this is the first time when people connected Guru Poornima with me for them.
After the momentary joy and sense of pride, I was also burdened with huge responsibility. If these people are looking forward to my guidance in some way or other, it becomes very important for me to make sure that I do not mislead them. Honestly speaking it is not an easy task. With multitude of options and information available today, the task of guiding is more and more difficult.
I always use to wonder why people would ask me if GOOGLE BHAGWAN is available and accessible 24X7. I realised that the biggest difficulty lies in using the information from Google or any other source.
I only hope and pray Almighty that give me enough patience and ability to learn to support those who require guidance from me for their life and career.
I would not like to name the people who wished me (as it might embarrass them) but, I sincerely thank them for remembering me on such an auspicious day.
