Disclaimer: My intent is not to show disrespect to the authorities of Supreme Court of India. The word “Judge” refers to court or regulatory authorities.

There is a significant hue and cry on the recent decision by Supreme Court of India on permission to women of all ages. I have been receiving various messages in social media – Some genuine and some fake. I have a question to ask those who are protesting this judgement.

Are you disgreeing with judgement or you are not agreeing to “SC giving this judgement”?

I personally prefer the regulatory bodies and SC not transgressing into the area of belief and practices that are based on a religious principles.

I am actually not against the judgement. Some readers may find this strange from me. I differentiate between religious principles and practices. The issue of whether a women should be allowed or not is a matter of religious practice followed by a temple. I request any reader who do not agree with me to cite any verse from Veda or Upanishads that prohibits this.

Social evolutions of this nature is bound to happen as mankind evolves. Few centuries back Harijans were not allowed into temples, that changed. Please remember that changed not because of a legal intervention. The social reformers and thinkers initiated such changes. Though there have exceptions to that.

Leave this logic. I would like you to tell me how many of gents who visit Sabarimala follow the rituals and methods that has been defined. If men can visit a temple by not following the practices that are essential for visiting a temple, why should we object to the decision.

Honestly speaking Sabarimala Yatra has got converted into a fashion or dad. It is now more of a statement to show off.

I saw a message that said the men should carry a placard stating “allow my vritham”. I am wondering how women coming to a temple will affect one’s vritham. Vrithams to me is in intrinsic process.

For those who believe this is an attack on Hindus or Hinduism’

Have you taken effort to even understand your duties as Hindu and practice them?

If not, is it not talking about something that you do not even know.

I view that we should invest our time in strengthening the base of the practices based on Vedic Principles. Our roots and trunk need to be strong enough (like \”vata vriksha\”) to handle the changes in the direction the trunks and leaves will take. We are all running after the branches and leaves. Please remember that branches and leaves of a tree will change with every seasonal cycle. Trunk and roots keeps growing through its life.

This is my belief and I respect others views that may be different from mine. I have a strong belief in “agreeing to disagree”. I always remember that “agreeing to disagree” is the foundation of the Vedic Principles that I stand for.
